Larry Marshall appointed as next CEO of CSIRO
Southern Cross is pleased to announce that Dr. Larry Marshall has been appointed the new CEO the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). He will bring to this important role a deep passion for fundamental science and technology, coupled with a keen desire to see Australia benefit from the application of its world-leading research.
The venture capital experience Larry has developed since joining the Southern Cross Venture Partners team complements his previous roles as an entrepreneur and research scientist in Silicon Valley. We expect his appointment will serve to deepen the existing fruitful relationships between the research and investment sectors in Australia, and we warmly congratulate Larry and wish him well for the next chapter in his career.
